Happy Valentine’s Day to you. Not everyone is a fan, and not everyone cares. But I’ve been playing around with love-related themes this month. And I’m happy that I have my first completed piece for 2017.

You’re My Universe – WIP

It was a mad week in the office, in an understaffed-overworked kind of way. But I had some pretty cute ideas for my art. My favourite is “You’re My Universe”. My boyfriend told me he liked the concept so I’m a little proud of it. I’m thinking this could be a great piece to develop, maybe even for Valentine’s Day. What do you guys think?

Did you know we tend to be unhappy when our minds are wandering? There are studies about this. Very legit stuff, by people whose job it is to study the human brain.

This scared me a little – since my mind was almost always meandering down its own weird path. It went something like:

Am I really cut out for a creative job ?

Can I still be happy if I didn’t get paid to do art ?

If I find a full time job elsewhere, have I given up ?

When should I give up ?

I'm sorry my content has been so sparse and sporadic lately. I haven't stopped creating at all. Its just been slow and frustrating with an unrelated full time job.
